Tried to fiddle around with my neem emulsion recipe to increase the preservative content. But it changed from a stable emulsion to one that needs shaking before use.

But then the consistency is much thinner.

Neem oil is only effective as prophylaxis but never as acute treatment. Effective against red spider mites and other insects with an appetite centre in the brain. It kills by causing the insect to stop eating. Ineffective against catepillars - they lack the appetite centre.

When an infestation strikes, use a systemic pesticide such as an OP. Wear protective gear when applying such potent nerve poisons.
